Why it fails, and why ours doesn't

Most sports surfaces fail below the grass.

Water that has nowhere to go, a base compacted in one pass, levels that drift by centimetres. The fibre gets blamed, but the engineering was already lost. We invert that order - soil, water and geometry first.

01

Engineering before surfacing

Most failures happen below the grass. We start with soil, water and levels - the surface is the last 5% of the job.

02

One accountable contract

Civil works, drainage, surfacing, fencing and lighting under a single scope. No gaps between vendors to argue over.

03

Measured, not claimed

Ball roll, shock absorption, planarity and lux are tested and documented at handover. You receive the numbers.

04

Built for lifecycle

Every project can carry a maintenance contract, so year six performs close to year one instead of quietly degrading.

Soil, water and geometry are surveyed before a fibre is priced.

Delivered work

Six recent grounds, in their own words.

Every project below shipped with a documented test report and a maintenance plan.

A similar brief starts with the sport, the plot and the season you need to open.

The engineering process

From first site visit to season six.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We understand usage, user load, budget band and the calendar you need to hit.

  2. 02

    Site survey

Levels, soil bearing, water table and access are recorded and photographed.

  3. 03

    Engineering

Build-up sections, drainage design and system specification with a line-item BOQ.

  4. 04

    Construction

Civil works executed in controlled lifts with quality checks at every layer.

  5. 05

    Installation

Certified crews, welded seams, calibrated infill and precision line marking.

  6. 06

    Handover & care

Performance testing, documentation, training and an optional maintenance contract.

Step one is a site visit. The rest of the programme is written from what we measure.

Materials & technology

Specified to numbers, not adjectives.

Fibre geometry, stitch density, backing construction and infill are chosen against the load your ground will actually take.

Fibre
Monofilament PE, diamond spine
UV rating
10,000+ hours stabilised
Backing
Dual-layer PP, PU coated
Drainage
Up to 60 L/min/m²
Infill
Silica, SBR, EPDM or organic
Testing
Ball roll · shock · planarity

Client voice

What the people who signed off say.

They rebuilt a ground that had been unusable for two seasons. The drainage engineering was the difference - we now play the day after heavy rain.

Sports Officer

Municipal Corporation

Four surfaces, one live campus, zero disruption to teaching. The phasing plan they proposed was better than the one our consultant drafted.

Head of Operations

International School

The handover pack included every test result. As a consultant that is exactly what I need for sign-off, and it almost never arrives.
